SO this morning I'd like to share a verse that caught my eye.
A gracious woman retaineth honour; and strong men retain riches.
Proverbs 11:16
I
am going to draw your attention to the first part of that verse. The
definition of the word "gracious" is pretty much what first comes to
mind.
A very polite in a way that shows respect.
Now I would like us all to take a minute and try to name as many women as you possibly can that fit into this box.. Gracious....
No Doubt you immediately think of your grandma. Possibly your mother or an Aunt. Your wife?? girlfriend maybe??? hopefully you know more then one. hopefully every woman in your life would be classified in the box of graciousness.. but for some of you..... the number to that question would be very low.
To be Gracious is to be kind, be polite with a warming attitude, be honest, be kind, to listen, showing manners to people no matter social status or class. To be Gracious is to bite your tongue when you are wanting to speak your mind. To take the insult with a beauftiful attitude. To always be giving to others, weither that be you time, your money, your dinner, or just honest to goodness advice. Always be kind. To be gracouis is smile at the road rage idiot when apparently they missed the class on using your turn signal, but for some ood reason it is your fault.. A gracious woman lets things roll of her shoolder and onto the ground, never to be spoken of again. A gracious woman is ALWAYS kind. A gracious woman doesnt listen to others petty gossip. A gracious woman knows how to keep others secrets. A gracious woman is respectable.To walk away from temptation not towards it. To be Gracious is to be KIND. A gracious woman never dwells on herself and all her so called problems. She instead chooses to pray for you and help handle your problems. A Gracious woman is GRACEFUL.She acts like a lady at ALL times. A gracious woman is benevolent and courteous. A Gracious woman is Pleasantly Kind.. A gracious woman is Hospitable and never turns away a hungry body.Never turns away a crying child. Little ones love and enjoy the presence of a gracious woman. A gracious woman is to be desired but getting rarer to see now days.
As Women, We should all be more Gracious. For in doing so we retain Honour.Stop being a shady friend and be nice once in a while. You might actually feel better. .
People should be honoured to know us. There should a pleasant smile every time our name is spoken.We need to be dependable, reliable, HONEST, faithful and above all KIND..
I suggest making changes in your life to be more gracious. And I encourage you to encourage other woman and little girls to be more gracious.
